  • 500g black beans
  • 300g dried beef
  • 200g pork ribs
  • 200g smoked sausage
  • 200g paio sausage
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro and parsley for garnish


Preparing the Meats

  1. Soak the dried beef for 24 hours, changing the water a few times.
  2. Cook the meats (except sausages) separately until tender. Set aside.

Cooking the Beans

  1. Cook the black beans with bay leaves until al dente.
  2. In another pan, sauté the onion and garlic, then add the sausages and continue to sauté.

Assembling the Feijoada

  1. Combine all the meats with the beans, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  2. Simmer for about 1 hour on low heat until the broth thickens.
